Scottie (AKA Mommas Boy) and his sister were the two sole survivors out of the shelter almost six years ago at a time when the shelter underwent a horrible upper respiratory infection among their cats/kittens. It took an intensive effort, but both Scottie and his sister overcame the infection. His sister quickly found a home and the foster mom kept Scottie. Scottie has a little residual side effects from his illness; his eye periodically waters a little and he sneezes some, however it is nothing contagious, the other cats in the home are just fine. And that is the problem, the other cats dont like Scottie and Scottie does not like them. The conflict with the other cats is worsening and Scottie is very unhappy in a multi-cat household. Scottie LOVES his mom and vice versa! Mom needs to do what is best for Scottiea new home and a new mom to call his own. Scottie will thrive in a house with a loving Mom. Though he is almost six years young, Scottie loves to play, he carries his toys (drawn from a rather large toy basket - - - mice are his favorite) around bringing them to mom as a gift (he also herds his toys like a Border Collie, there will be a pile of toys at the door welcoming you home). He sleeps with mom, lays beside her (or behind her) on the couch at night and demands that she carry him around when he is feeling needy. Scottie is scratch post trained, neutered of course and is leukemia and Aids negative. Scottie would also love to be and in/out or outdoor only cat (where it is safe and he can stay warm during the winter), his critter control skills are guaranteed! Willing to adopt two? His brother named Bear (Baby Bear or Mr. Bear) would love to join him in his new home.
